Claire Jones - has been on the Trust Board since 1999 and elected Deputy Chairperson in 2001.
Claire was formerly involved in advertising and marketing in London and Minneapolis. She is a freelance writer and enjoys ocean sailing. She was a sailmaker in Russell for 15 years.
Her focus of effort for the Museum has been overseeing the professional expertise in the development of graphic design, display of artifacts, and landscaping the grounds. She has ensured the skills of the staff are recognised and encouraged them to upgrade their skills.
Community involvements: Establishment of Russell Film Society and Pewhairangi Community Arts Council. Member of the Kororareka Marae Society and attends Maori language classes.
