Eldon Jackson - has been on the Trust Board since 1999.
After 20 years of being involved in a building company in partnership with an old school chum in Auckland, Eldon and his wife, Gilly, moved to Russell for an easier lifestyle. The beauty, history and ease of boating attracted them to Russell and they soon settled in.
Eldon continued with his building activities until retiring 3 years ago.
His activities besides Russell Museum are boating, fishing, assisting his wife with the holiday homes that they look after (and her many cats and dog and birds!) and is also a Bay of Islands Marine Radio Assn (Russell Radio) committee member.
