Museum Staff
Marsha Davis - is the newest member of our team. She joined us in April 2008. Originally from Russell, Marsha is the great granddaughter of Charles and Mary Ann Baker who donated the land on which our community museum now stands. Having returned in 2005 after studying and working overseas for fifteen years, Marsha's curatorial experience and education in art and design adds a new dimension to our focus as a repository for local history. Marsha is keen to open our valued collection to the world community through internet based access. " It makes sense that those with an interest in early Maori and settler history who can't come to Russell/Kororareka can still learn from us through the internet. It raises the profile of our community, worldwide and locally."
